Mixed Bed Resin combining cation and anion resins to produce ultra-pure water with extremely low conductivity for industrial, pharmaceutical, and medical applications.
Mixed Bed Resin is a carefully balanced mixture of cation (H⁺ form) and anion (OH⁻ form) exchange resins, used to produce ultra-pure, demineralised water. Acting as a final polishing stage after standard deionisation, mixed bed resins remove the last traces of dissolved ions, achieving extremely low conductivity and high water purity.
They are widely used in applications that demand high-quality water, such as power generation, electronics, pharmaceutical, and medical industries. Mixed bed resins combine the performance of both cation and anion resins in one unit, providing consistent, reliable treatment in a single vessel.
Features & Benefits
Removes both positively and negatively charged ions in one step
Produces high-purity, low-conductivity water
Combines cation and anion resin for maximum efficiency
Suitable as a final polishing stage after demineralisation
Long service life with proper regeneration and handling
Widely used in power plants, electronics, and pharmaceutical industries
Storage Guidelines
Mixed bed resins must be kept moist at all times. Store between 15 °C – 45 °C in sealed packaging or submerged in clean water. Keep out of direct sunlight and avoid drying conditions.
Safety Notes
Regeneration chemicals (acid and caustic soda) must be handled with care. Appropriate PPE (gloves, goggles, protective clothing) is recommended.
